Jim Allen is one of Canada leading portrait photographers who has lived and practiced his portrait photography in many places throughout the world.
An endless entrepreneur, he delves into projects that create his personal concepts and is consider a master of conceptual thinking and planning.

This site is a collection or review of the top photographs taken during his full career of choice that he often makes. Jim say; I make my share of errors and continue to explore risk taking and working until I go to the next level. I enjoy every day of the gifts I have been . blessed to have received. Its sounds slushy, but in reality at times, I often wonder if I deserve them. As we all share equally in errors of judgement, its our job to try and make it all work resolving our issues. It never is perfection and trying so hard to make that happen is another error on top of it all.
Now is a time in 2010 for us to to turn the page as in helping Haiti or children that have not benefited from the special world we now live in. Its our job to protect the planet and I believe as a collective we will. We need to wake up and realize that our own greed at times is excessive, and not the way to get along in this world. In my own experience I pledge to stick with my path as a photographer and as mentor for a few. l learn where I have made mistakes in order to learn about the strange reality of the world, as it is now. I love people who are humble and creative with all the parts that make us great. I hope that my site can encourage others who arrive after my time and will hopefully give back to the community to thier next generations. Invite me for a speech and raise funds if the moment allows me in to pass along some stories and gems of life and practice of creative pursuits. That is a road which is honorable, and I am happy to take the time to give that openly and freely. I am launching 72 CARLTON STREET my personal blog, that is dedicated to art, culture, and photos, and my personal memoir of the same name. More later and for now please enjoy some of the work as presented here on my website.I am now going back to my chosen profession to ad on
to the work I have produced over a 40 year span of my career.
